Special "Talent"

Hi Again To All!

Today I’m going to write about to my special talent, well… I’m not sure if a special talent, but I have a facility to climbing; trees, walls, hills, etc, when I was a child my friends called me “Mono”(Monkey in English), because always was up in the top of the trees, that is really weird for my friends because they believe I was a crazy, but for me was really funny.

That Is useful because when you need to running of a dog’s pack you can a climb the nearby tree and save your life (this happened to me when I was 10 years old, LOL). I don’t remember how I acquire this talent only know that one day I was with my friends and we came up with the idea of the climb trees and they discovered my “talent”

Over time this special skill has decline, because not was stimulated by me, but not long ago my older cousin said me he had a climbing wall in your house for practice boulder climbing, and I was there for a time, remember olds times obviously not in the top a tree, IN THE REAL WALL FOR CLIMBING!!!, that was awesome, this was during the summer of 2007 and the same year I climbing a nearby mountain to Chillan, that summer was really incredible.

But again over the years the lack of the practice decline my “talent”, but I know if I return to practice I can return to climbing anywhere. 

Group Activity

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m going to write about a group activity I like to do, this activity is the football, I really like the Football, for me this activity is more than a sport, is a passion and when I play I try to leave it all on the field game, I practice this activity once a week (Sometimes Two per week), but for me I play every day.  I play with “The Fishitas F.C” on the university for the FAU Cup, but also I play with friends in Macul with Los Olmos on a Synthetic Field. 

I started kick a soccer ball when I was 4 years, my Juan’s uncle always motivate me for to practice football, he always told me “you are going to a professional player when grow up”, but he died when I was 7 years, maybe if he not have died I’d play in some professional team in Spain, England, France or Italy (ROFL). But That… I play football around to 20 years.

I Enjoy play football because I having fun like a child, also because this play involves Friendship and the emotion of score a goal is unequalled!, but that is…  I prefer the football above all things, sometimes I had to leave important commitments for play football (Dates, Birthdays, Exams, etc) xD.

Return to Reality

Hi everyone those who read this.

Today I’m going to write about to my Fiestas Patrias experience this year, To Start i took a bus in the morning on Friday, September 12^th to Concepcion, the city when I was born, I arrived the same day in the evening. When I arrived my family was preparing for go to the city outskirts, we went to Buchupureo to spend the week until the Sunday, September 21st.

The September 18^th we went to the my Aunt’s house in Buchupureo and she with my mother prepared some tasty empanadas of seafood and meal, I helped to prepare the dough of the empanadas and that’s was we ate to the  lunch. In the night we went to the Fonda located in the beach and I had a drink some of Chicha (the typical drink in this special time), also I danced Cueca in the Fonda, I don’t remember who it, because I drank lots of Chicha, but was really fun.

The Next Day (19^th) I woke up to late, around to the 2:00 P.M with a headache y drank some of water and was going to lunch. In this day I walked for the beach in the evening and took some photos, after with my family we went to hang out to the Ayekan Restaurant and we drank something.

In the next day September 20^th, we shared as a family in the Aunt’s House and prepared some things for the lunch, like a Barbecue in the lunchtime and Pizza in the dinner time, also we played cards games in the night.

I returned to Concepcion the September 21^st  in the morning, I spend the afternoon in Concepcion and I arrived to Santiago on Monday, September 22^nd  around to the 7:00 P.M.

My Fiestas Patrias

Hi Everyone !

Well my Fiestas Patrias are generally common, with too much typical food like an “empanadas”, “anticuchos”,” sopaipillas”, etc. and with our typical drink called “Mote con Huesillo”. Usually every year I am going to the “fondas” located in the center of my hometown, Concepcion or sometimes I get together with my friends and organized some activities about to the 18 de September like the last year.

In the last Fiestas Patrias (2013) I travelled to the Concepcion and I met with some friends, we bought some things for cooking a barbecue in the Carlos home, one of my friends. After we went to center of Concepcion for dancing Cueca (Typical Chilean Dance).

So…  The best Fiestas Patrias I can remember was in 2011 when we joined as a family and went to Buchupuereo, this is a rural place nearest at Cauquenes, is a beautiful place and remember that travel because was the first time we were joined as a family.

In the fiestas patrias also practiced some typical activities like a rayuela, horse-racing, fly a kite, that’s activities are really healthy and fun, however there an activity I do not agree, this activity is the Rodeo, I really hate this “Sport” because is an animal abuse, people hitting animals for entertainment is a great shame, the government should ban this activity, the animal abuse is not cultural.

Well we can see the fiestas patrias is one a most important date for the Chilean people we celebrate the first Governing Board and is one the best moments for share with the loved ones.

Do you want quality in education…?  Give me your money

In Chile in the last years se have been developed a series of  the social process, this process  have even called the public attention, mainly with the education problem in our country the education have a deep structural crisis in all levels nursery school, primary school, secondary school and upper, the lack of social integration in all levels of the public education (Scholar Segregation), the poor quality in educational contents in the most schools are some of the problems in the Chilean education, generally entails a series of key consequences in the educational system and problems in the Chilean society.

I think this structural crisis in education answer a the economic model imposed since 1980 in Chile, where everything is bought and sold, the health, education, housing, etc, all is a product and the people is a number, It has been privatized and commodified.

I consider the education as a basic and fundamental right and like this, cannot be commercialized, I think in Chile all schools should be public schools, the private schools should be open for the all people the all social class, promoting the social integration. Also the education in universities should be open to all people and not selective and free. If you want study should be all people the same possibilities and not excluded for the system education.

Finally I think the solution is the change in the structural system not only in education is a change in the politics and economical system, change the mind of the people who feel that everything is a product to market. That can be help to reduce the profound gap between the people can be pay the quality in education and people can be not pay the quality education.

Manal Al-Sharif, an example to all women in the world.

This story is about a woman from Saudi Arabia who decided that one day, along with his brother, she was going to drive a car in their own country, even when that act is considered an offensive because women have no right to drive due to the costumes and traditions that it is rooted in the ultra-conservative society of Saudi Arabia. For this act Manal was arrested not just once but twice, and the second time she was put in jail for nine days.

This costume and traditions are a significant problem for women and their freedom in Saudi Arabia, because these costumes are to enshrine in the fatwa based in to the wrong interpretation of the shrines laws (Religious Laws) and codify in the legal law system. The acts that doesn’t carry out this order can be condemned to death penalty, and other kind of punishments

From this on, Manal decided to do a campaign for women to have the possibility to drive in Saudi Arabia. This campaign was internationally recognized and she had the support in many countries, nevertheless in Saudi Arabia she doesn’t had the same reactions to the support, being threatened to death.

In my opinion I think Manal is a courageous woman, because she took a bold step and broke the rules taking her car and driving it through the streets of Arabia Saudi. I think it was a revolutionary act, especially in a place where women’s rights are not respected, and it is a good example for all women in their own country and in the world.

These acts, as Manal’s, are helping societies where the women have no rights to advance on this issues and build up a society focused on respect to the people, especially  focused women.

Earth 2100

Plot

 The movie is about a woman that tells the story about how will be the in the world in 2100, and how there will be a lack of resources, like water, gas, native forest, etc. The story told by the main character is complemented by the opinion of many experts in climate change.

Review

The movie shows the importance on worrying about the way the anthropic influence over the earth surface is collapsing our home, but personally I think that it has a very “American” perspective of how the world is and it’s not really close to the reality lived in other places of the planet, like South America and other 3^rd world countries, especially when they show all the catastrophes occur in the United States, and the way they refer to China and India, about how they refused to sing the climate change agreement, but in reality the USA is the country which has refused to make a real engagement with the environment. I also think that the expert’s opinions shown in the film is exaggerated and even doomwatcher and doesn’t show concrete facts that confirm them affirmations, which takes off seriousness to them opinions. Nevertheless I agree with the importance in taking concern about the way the world is going, because if we don´t do anything to prevent the future environmental disaster (maybe in a not too near future) the human raze, and all the life in this planet will suffer the consequences of our lack of environmental and social conscience.

Three things i would like to add

The use of clean energies, like eolic, solar, etc., as a way to replace the polluting conventional energies that has been used until now.

 The human raze hasn’t been living too long in the earth to be the only responsible of the changes in the environment.

The American cosmovision is too catastrophic.
